Radio silence, and the best of the Smiths

Hello strangers! Apologies for the radio silence this month – a house move, the death of my lovely grandmother, Eirwen, the writing of lots of stuff that will only appear magically in the press next month, and work on my book project, has kept me away from here. Nevertheless, I have reviewed The Lovely Bones for the current issue of The Word, and did an interview for the Times Saturday Review, with Sheridan Smith, aka Rudi in Gavin and Stacey, The Royle Family's Emma and Jonathan Creek's Joey, and now golden girl of the West End, quite deservedly so, for her brilliant lead performance in Legally Blonde The Musical. She tells me, openly and self-effacingly, about her rise to fame, the family tragedy that she's never spoken about, and what the future might bring for her here.

Also, 2010 will bring a proper website from me, rather than this hastily put-together collection of work links, bits and bobs. My crack team of operatives (ie my friend Chris from back home and a nice man called David who I met through Twitter) are sifting through all the html and whatnot as I type, yes they are. Very exciting. More soon!
